An exclusive print from Jesse Chehak’s series and forthcoming book, “Fool’s Gold,” in which the photographer explores iconic landscapes of the American West. In the study, Chehak imagines himself as a modern-day prospector, establishing a metaphorical connection between the historic search for gold and the more contemporary push for a new image. This photograph, a defining image of the series, depicts the back of the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, where Chehak grew up. Each print comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
